What can I expect in a session?
Participants meet our heard of horses and chose a horse partner that they will work with each week. While working toward their therapeutic goals, clients will learn how to build a trusting relationship with their chosen horse partner and gain skills in horsemanship such as: leading, grooming and general care of horses, understanding horse herd behavior and learning how to read and respond to horse body language.
How much are sessions?
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Session - $150
Equine Assisted Learning Session - $150
Office-based psychotherapy - $110
Riding lesson - $65
Natural horsemanship lesson - $65
All sessions and lessons are 60 minutes in length.
Initial intake sessions may have additional fees if other assessments are required. Your therapist will let you know at the time of intake.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, HSA cards and credit cards.
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance but can provide you with the necessary paperwork for reimbursement by your insurance company.
What ages do you work with?
We work with clients ages 6 and older.
Am I ( or my child/family) a good fit for this type of service?

What if I don't have horse experience?
No problem! Our sessions are conducted on the ground, and no previous horse experience is necessary.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
If an appointment is missed with less than 24-hour notice, you will be billed the full fee. Cancellation/rescheduling messages may be left on our confidential voicemail or emailed.
If sessions are held outside, what happens during bad weather?
We hold sessions in the office or the covered barn if it is raining.
We cancel sessions if the temperature is below 40 degrees, above 110 degrees, or if we have thunder and lightning forecasted during your session time. If a session is canceled due to weather, you will not be billed for the session.
*We will let you know about weather cancellations as soon as possible, usually within 2 hours of your session.
What should I wear?
Our counseling sessions are conducted outside, so it is imperative that you dress appropriately: closed toed shoes or boots, no sandals, dressing in layers, gloves and a hat in colder weather temps. In the summer you will need items such as cool clothing, a hat, sunblock, and water.
